Whether you’re looking for the best date locations, a dynamite restaurant to host your anniversary dinner, or simply a fantastic meal prepared to the highest standards we’ve got something for you!
Taking Royalty on a Date? Try Queen
Headed out for a meal with a partner who wants an amazing ambiance and experience to go with their top-tier food? Don’t stop me now – I’m going to tell you about Queen Miami Beach!
Queen combines a menu of Japanese grill cuisine designed by Executive Chef Mitchell Hesse with the spectacular ambience of the restored and revamped Paris Theater. Start your evening with a cocktail in the Salon Lounge, take in the majesty of the Carmen Miranda-inspired mural as you enter the dining room with its 26-foot ceilings, consider an order of Hotate Toro Gunkan from the Signature Sushi menu, choose your favorite dishes from the multiple dinner categories, and then decide wither you’ll have the Royal Experience or perhaps the Chocolate Souffle Tart for dessert.
For those seeking the ultimate Queen romantic dining experience – call in a favor or two and secure your spots at the eight-seat private dining experience: Queen Omakase.
Joe’s Stone Crabs
Let’s get right down to it – a meal at Joe’s Stone Crab makes a fantastic couple’s activity. You’ll have fun deciding whether it’s shrimp or oysters as an appetizer (why not get both?), gauging each other’s claw-cracking ability, making your friendly arguments on the butter versus mustard sauce debate, estimating your true capacity for claw consumption, contemplating whether that side of lobster mac & cheese is a necessary addition, and giving in to the urge to order both a chocolate pecan pie and bread pudding.
Joe’s Stone Crab has been a Miami staple since 1913 and this family-run restaurant is always a favorite.
Why Not Have a Date Night at Your House?
No, we’re not suggesting you throw on your comfy clothes and hit up DoorDash – we’re suggesting you work toward securing a reservation at Casa Tua. This amazing and unique property is, in their words, “part soulful culinary destination, part boutique hotel, and private members club.”
Casa Tua offers a variety of taste-bud-tingling dining experiences: The Library offers a home away from home, The Garden offering a unique al fresco dining experience, The Garden Patio seats up to 25 guests adjacent to the Chef’s table, the East Garden seats up to 30 guests in its intimate patio space, the Chef’s Table grants a semi-private view of the dedicated team of chefs as they work, the Club serves as a second home for Casa Tua members, and the Club Terrace overlooks the garden and provides up to 20 guests with inspiring views of the city.
Check out their Menu to stoke the fires of your interest.
Casa Tua has a second location in Aspen and a spot in Paris as well for our jet-setting readers. Consider becoming a member to take advantage of the experience and community offered here.
Shouldn’t That Start with a C? Alright, We’ll Let It Slide!
No, this isn’t the Marvel comics villain (Klaw) played by Andy Serkis, nor is it the arch nemesis of Inspect Gadget (Dr. Claw) – our next entry is the adventurous dining experience with stunning views of the bay: Klaw Miami.
Klaw’s team of masterful chefs combine sustainably sourced King Crab and beef to push past the limits of traditional culinary experiences and uniquely flavored dishes. Their goal is to deliver the ultimate surf & turf dining experience, and the selections of Nebraskan USDA Certified Black Angus beef and Norwegian King crab assure your experience is without equal. Be sure to ask about their access to Florida Cracker Cattle to gain access to the best from local ranchers. (It’s a good place to go on a date if your dining partner is up for Klaw’s hunt for the world’s finest flavors.)
Klaw is situated in the historic Miami Woman’s Club building – a beautiful Spanish Renaissance building – and its prime location (and rooftop bar!) offers diners inspiring views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami Beach skyline.
A Romantic Italian Dinner in Miami? Boia, You Best Believe It!
Yes, our heading is a terrible pun that might be embarrassing in two languages, but the food at Boia De makes it stupendous couples’ activity near Miami Beach. (They don’t have a dress code and welcome all diners as they are, so it could be a very nice casual date night.)
The Boia De team describes their spot as an intimate, chef-driven restaurant serving modern American cooking with a strong Italian influence. We recommend you and your date partake of the beef tartare and baked clams at first, then move on to the tagliolini nero and perhaps the pappardelle alla lepre (do not hesitate to share your plates!) before sharing a crispy tiramisu. They have an evolving wine list, so be sure to ask your server for the best pairing for your entrees. (You may wish to try their Cap N’ Tonic if you’re not a wine person.)
If your favorite warm and cozy restaurant near Miami is your living room, we recommend joining Boia De’s Wine Club and having their unique bottle choices delivered to your home every month.
“Steak” Your Claim to a Cute Date Idea Near Miami
If you’re looking for a date night idea, we’re all for considering the first modern steakhouse in the US – the revolutionary Prime 112 on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. Restaurateur Myles Chefetz opened this chef-driven boutique steakhouse in 2004 and proudly offers an innovative menu in an energetic setting.
A dinner date at Prime 112 offers a delightful smell of fresh ingredients, a lively and upscale environment, up-tempo music, and an always-interesting mix of upscale clientele. Your food choices are taken from the best products on the market which are designed exclusively for South Beach diners and feature classic menu items with a twist. Perhaps your date will start with Kobe Beef Sliders before moving on to a dry-aged steak?
If you enjoy your intimate dining experience at Prime 112 you can always try Big Pink, Prime Italian, or Prime Fish – the Myles Restaurant Group also runs Prime Hotel if you’d like to make an entire night out of your adventure.
How About a Warm and Cozy Thai Meal for Date Night?
Our last recommendation for your date night is to make a reservation with the fine folks at Panya Thai Restaurant Miami and go enjoy their excellent combination of Thai dishes made from the finest ingredients in their exhibition kitchen.
Your blogger’s ideal menu from Panya would probably look something like this:
- A bowl of Tom Kha Kai
- Squid Rings or the Jumping Shrimp
- Massaman Curry with chicken for my date
- Pad Se Ewe with Shrimp
- Thai Donuts or the Fried Banana with Ice Cream for dessert (Maybe both, why not?)
If your ideal date meal is actually a reasonably priced lunch with delicious food, you should absolutely take a look at Panya’s lunch special menu from 11:30 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday.
Remember you can always order ahead from Panya Thai Restaurant if you’re feeling like an evening in.
